The IAOS and the OECD are pleased to announce the results of the 2018Young Scholars for Better Statistics Award (YSBS):

First Place: Milica Maricic, “Assessing the quality of life in the European Union: The European Index of Life Satisfaction (EILS)”, University of Belgrade (academic advisors: Veljko Jeremic and Milica Bulajic)

Second Place: Hong Anh Luu, “The technical conversion factor and its relation with the price ratio of processing livestock”, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (academic advisor: Kris Boudt)

Third Place: Fritz Schiltz, “The added value of more accurate predictions for school rankings”, KU (Katholieke Universiteit) Leuven (academic advisor: Kris Boudt; co-authors: Paolo Sestito – Bank of Italy, Tommaso Agasisti – Politecnico di Milano)
